Top 3 Things To Do Before Getting A Business Website
Working with all types of clients in all types of industries, allowed me to come up with standard practices for making sure I give them the best service. In business terms, I would call this my SOP (Standard Operational Procedures).
I wanted to share a couple of valuable tips for you who are interested in having a website in the future. No matter if you hire someone or create your website yourself, these tips will help you during the process.
Buy Your Domain URL
✨If you don’t have a website up yet, at least purchase the domain name/URL (www[dot]yourbizness[dot]com). You can purchase it from Google. Get it immediately so you won’t have to think of another name or variation of the name for your business.
Choose Two Main Brand Colors
✨Choose READABLE brand colors. If you choose bright colors, make sure your website has enough white space on the front page. You want your potential customers to be able to see what you offer. I suggest my clients stick with 2 colors max. This is depending on your niche.
Narrow Down Your Services
✨Think ahead about your menu headers and subheaders. This is basically the navigation at the top of the webpage. This helps the developer (like me) to create the pages for you with ease and it helps you understand what you are offering to your potential customers!
